Think before you throw...no matter where you go.

Welcome to Sarasota County's recycling education campaign!

Sarasota County's single-stream recycling program for residents living in unincorporated Sarasota County is an automated, cart-based system. Collection vehicles use a robotic arm to lift the carts and empty the content into the collection trucks.

Whether at home or out in public, you always have a choice on how to dispose of garbage. When possible, recycle clean items such as cans and bottles. Containers or packaging with food residue belong in the garbage. Not sure if an item is recyclable? Remember “when in doubt, leave it out.”
